Thank you for visiting my QRZ page.

I obtained this license of mine on a warm summer day in Spearfish, SD in June 2012 at the age of 12.  It was a hard fought battle but in the end I came out victorious with my Technician.  I then upgraded to General in October of 2014 in Hot Springs, SD.

My current radio setup is a Yaesu 857D with a 25ft HyGain trap vertical for 80/40/20/15/10 and a low 30m dipole.  I also have a Kenwood TM-261a for 2m FM.

QSL Cards: I enjoy receiving them but only by Battle Hawk :).  If you need a paper card I will respond to all cards received with an SASE.  I also confirm contacts in the more usual ways, either by LoTW (prefered) or EQSL (AG).  You may pick one or both or all three.

Now a few notes about the modes I prefer using.  My favorite is JT-65 and a close second  is JT-9.  I have not mastered CW yet but am working on it.  I also work phone but not as often as the others and my favorite radio event is Field Day.

How about some hobbies?  Well, I enjoy medieval weapons and medieval battle strategies.  I own several weapons of my own, both daggers and swords.  I also enjoy playing video games such as Minecraft, Just Cause 3, Fallout and Call of Duty.

I hope to work you sometime before I die (I am only joking) and 73! :D

I also recommend checking out my grandfather's page, K0JV.
