Hello, my name is Matthew Ross, KE0BIU

I'm a long-time electronics/computer nerd, but it took me awhile to get into Amatuer radio. When I was younger I tried to study for it but lost interest due to the CW requirement. (I was only ~10yr old then!)

In 2014, I decided I ought to try again, and then realized they had dropped the CW test! I studied online for about a week and then went and passed the Tech exam.

My main interests in Amateur radio are digital modes.   Software Defined Radio, specifically the ~$20 RTL-SDR sticks have opened up an entire new world of radio to me, and have helped me explore further the areas of radio I thought I knew.

So far, I have only tried using APRS, and D-Star.

Soon, I'd like try try Fusion, DMR, P25.  I can see these and listen with a RTL-SDR but I have no transceiver yet. Once I have HF privelages, I'd also like to try RTTY, PSK31, etc.

So, thanks for giving me a search on QRZ.com, and 73's!
