Passed my Technician Test on March 4, 2017 at the Rittman OH Library sponsored by the Silver Creek Amateur Radio Club. (SARA).  They had my try my General too, but, missed it by 1 question.  I will try again after I study a bit.

Current Radios are the BaoFeng BF-F8HP high power (8w) Dual Band HT.  Currently working 2m and 70cm using an indoor Radio Shack Discone antenna.  When I get it mounted outside, should be able to pick up most of the Northeast Ohio repeaters.  I'm getting about a 15 mile radius with the antenna in the house.

On the auto, I'm using a Nagoya UT-72 Dual-Band antenna.

Looking forward to getting my HF Radio and General License to DX the world!

73 and hope to catch you on the bands!

UPDATE:  Finally got my HF Radio - Yaesu FT-991A and QJE PS50SWIII (50A switching PS) with a MFJ-2010 OCF antenna about 10 feet off the ground.

Been working 40M CW.  It has been a challenge but a good experience.  Thanks for all the patience with me and my screw ups, please QSL!!!  Thanks!

12/2/2017 - Update:    KE8GKO/AG  - I passed my GENERAL exam!!  woot woot!

Got my new antennas up for the winter.  2M/70cm J-Pole (Arrow Knock-off), 6M Dipole, and Home Brew 80M OCF using a Buxcomm B2KC41 4:1 Balun with 90' of  Davis RF FW-14P Flex Weave on the positive side and 45' on the negative side up around 35' as an inverted L with the 90' running south to north and the 45' running west to east.

Still use the 40M OCF at times.
