My wife and I like to travel in our 20 foot Starcraft travel trailer every chance we get.

When mobile I use my HT's with the DV4 mini on Fusion, DMR, Dstar and the FT857D for HF . Antennas for the RV are a Jetstream JTB3 2m/70cm and a Par End Fed 40/20/10 HF.

Best contact on qrp was VP6DX Ducie island dxpedition 17m phone 5 watts on a hamstick and FT 817ND in my back yard.

Went to Rachel NV and operated near Area 51 and another time near Arecibo Observatory in PR using the FT817ND.

Other fun stuff:  At one time or another have combined ham radio with my sailing and motorcycle hobbies.

Operated an FT817ND  mounted in a tank bag on one my bikes (Suzuki GSX650F), and hand helds on the sailboats.
