I finally became an amateur radio operator in February of 2006 fullfilling a life long desire and got my General Ticket in May of 2007.

I retired from the plastics industry in April of 2207 to work with my wife of 36 years in our home based business, where we manufacture and sell Accountability System products for the Fire Service. We also offer products for Amateur radio and invite you to visit us at www.my-lor.com.

We were life-long residents of Newton County in Georgia and then up and moved to Dallas, Georgia in February of 2008 to be near our daughter and granddaughter. I enjoy kayak fishing and teaching classes at church. I am a MethoBapTerian, and you think you are confused!

I ran a G5RV at our old QTH but can't have an outside antenna at the new house, so I'm going to give a Hamstick dipole a shot. We live in a decent sized house but the attic is so busy, it is really difficult to do much with, antenna wise.

Update: March 2011, I put a Tarheel 100 on my pickup truck and finally got back on HF, mobile, but better than not at all.

Currently, I operate a Kenwood 480 along  with a couple of 2 Meter rigs. My wife Linda(KI4SJW) got her ticket in November of 2006. That puts us back on the radio again, since we first met by talking on 11 Meters back in the mid 60's before that system was so wide spread.
