Greetings world-wide friends! My name is Austin and I live here in Sunny "stormy" West Central Florida on beautiful Lake LeClare. I got my ticket back in 2012 with the help of my Grandfather and Elmer Jim W0TW ex K8HIX. I am currently enjoying my general priveleges but I have soon to upgrade to Extra. Although I've only been a licensed operator since 2012, my love for weather and electronics and home brewing have gone through out my childhood. I am currently  finishing up high school and will be attending St Petersburg College  fall of 2016. I proudly earned the rank of Eagle Scout at age 15. I will be majoring in Emergency Management but also attending Fire Academy in the process. I am currently working towards my EMT at St. Petersburg College and Fire Investigator certification. I am a Techinal Specialist and Emergency Station for WCF ARRL section. I am currently training as an intern at St Pete Clearwater Intl Airport (ARFF) "Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighting". I'm a trained weather spotter and cert emergency responder and am trained in basic fire fighting, emergency medical ops, search and rescue and Emergency Management/Incident Command along with the all mighty Emergency Communications. I am a proud member of East Lake CERT as well as Pinellas and Hillsborough County ARES/RACES. I am a volunteer of Tampa Bay Chapter of the American Red Cross as a Disaster Action Team Member. I am a member of the MOSI Amateur Radio Club and surrounding clubs. As far as gear goes I own several Digital Motorola HT's (XPR-7550/XTS-5000s/APX-7000/XPR-5550) that run either DMR or P25. I run a Yaesu FT-857 for HF as well as Satellite operations. I have a Icom IC-4161DT that is my main NXDN UHF radio which I also use as a commercial LTR scanner. I use a Kenwood TR-7930 for 2m and my Yaesu FT-857 2m/440. My XPR-5550 is my mobile UHF rig for Analog and DMR. Antenna wise, I have a G5RV for HF as well as several homemade wire antennas and Verticals ranging from Hamstick antennas to a homemade hamstick dipole". For 2m/440, I have a DBJ-01 J-pole on the roof along with a 2m/440 beam which I'm currently looking at rotors for. I have a 2m/440 Arow yagi antenna for working satellites. I currently run Ham Radio Deluxe "problem free" on my Yaesy FT-857. I hope to catch you all on the air and feel free to email me if you would like to set up a QSO. You can find me at Facebook.com/AustinJewsbury. My email is KK4NEF@gmail.com
