                 ~ KH6PGA ~

After considering ham radio in the 70's, I finally got my General ticket September 28th, 2014.

Cali QTH:

I currently run a IC7300, Acom A1010, LDG AT600Proii tuner, an 80m full wave horizontal loop(tunes ALL bands but 160), and a 20m wire moxon pointed at the Hawaiian Islands.(photo above)

I also run an 857d in my truck, with an SGC SG237 auto tuner, feeding a 40' coil of #12 thhn attached to the interior roof of my fiberglass camper shell. Not very hi Q, but it works, and is very stealth!

HAWAI'I QTH:

I run an IC7300, ALS500m and a 160 m full wave loop, 20 m vertical, building a 20 m moxon soon...Fully off grid solar, wind power...

I can be found regularly mornings on the Ohana Net ( www.ohananetradio.com )16:30 Zulu, 14.268 MHz, where there are a great bunch of guys from the mainland US, Hawai'i, New Zealand and Cook Islands, when conditions permit.

Our favorite beach in NORCAL:

Here we body surf, (usually with a wetsuit, since water temperatures are usually 52-55F- which probably makes us more appealing to the great whites!!), play Ultimate Frisbee, and Rock Climb...or generally just chill out with friends...
