Richard (Dick) Lewis is a retired Computer Security & Operations Engineer from The Boeing Company. He is the author of over 150 published Computer Technical articles. After spending a short stint as a Microsoft contractor he went to work as a contractor at Boeing. He eventually became a Boeing employee working on the Delta IV Rocket Program on the Boeing campus in Huntington Beach, CA. Richard planned to become a ham early in life but that was not to be. He finally passed his Technician and General tests in his retirement years.
Richard's 1st post-college job was as a Campus Crusade for Christ staff member in Texas, Louisiana and California. He also owned and operated a bicycle shop in Riverside, CA for 19 years. Richard is active in his church (The Bridge Church in Corona, CA) leading men's groups and doing devotional writing.
Richard was an SCCA amateur race car driver in the 1970's campaigning a Mini-Cooper in the Southwest Region. He has also raced sprint and enduro go carts and off road mini buggies. He has owned and restored a number of cars and built 2 kit cars including a Grinnall Scorpion super car (0-60 in 3.8 seconds).
