I enjoy building, experimenting with antennas and RTTY contesting.  Recently I've had fun playing with an MFJ-9020 20 meter CW transceiver running 4 watts.  Presently have a Tennadyne T8 on a 60 ft. tower.  The remaining antennas are a 1/4 wavelength elevated vertical for 40 meters and the tower is Gamma Matched for 80 Meters.   Prior antennas utilized were a TET-43SP, a 5 element mono band 15 meter yagi and 389 ft. long wire.

The following photo is of my mentor and friend Chuck Brainard, KA1PM, founder of Tennadyne, installing the rotator, mast and T8 antenna on a windy day.

This is a photo of my friend, Bob Richie, K5YB, who along with Hank Folk and Juan Leal made numerous trips to my QTH to help assemble the tower in preparation for Chuck's final installation of the rotator, mast and antenna.

Here are photos of Juan ready to call 911 while I'm aloft and the Texas Hill Country landscape.  One of my XYL's requirments was to have someone observing me as I climbed the tower.

The sunset photo of the tower reveals a Gamma Match Rod for 80 Meters attached to the tower which is electrically about 145 degrees.

The base station is a Yaesu FTdx-5000MP and an Ameritron AL-1500 amplifier.

I believe LoTW is a great ARRL service and QSL via LoTW 100%. I no longer originate QSLs via the mail or respond to bureau QSLs but I do respond to QSLs via the mail if a SASE is included with the QSL.
