I am new to Ham Radio.  I took and passed my Tech, General and Extra exams December 2016 - February 2017.  I am currently in the U.S. Navy.

I got into ham radio to get back to an electronics hobby from years ago, to teach my daughters about science and technology and because it seems like a great hobby for all ages.

I am running an ICOM-7300 with a 40m - 10m dipole inside the attic.  Additionally, I have a Kenwood TH-D74A handheld D-Star transcever and a DVAP dongle.

I am enjoying learning CW and QRP operating.

Kits built so far are the Hamcrafter K42 CW decoder, the Pacific Antennas PFR-3B 20m/30m/40m CW field radio and the Heathkit Most Reliable Clock.  Kits still on the workbench include the BitX40 40m SSB QRP transcever among others.
