Hello there, and thanks for looking my call up. By trade, I'm an aircraft fitter, the last aircraft type I worked on up untill 2014 being the Boeing 707, big grey ones with no windows! But I've also worked on various training aircraft and fast-jet fighters too. My first love has always been radio. Luckily for me I was able to retire early, and now spend my time as a ' house husband' looking after the domestic chores, which leaves me  good deal of time to play radio! I also enjoy camping and hillwalking whenever I get the time, and also getting my Harley out for a blast in the countryside now and again.

Newly licensed as an M6 in 2014 I found I really enjoy working QRP/ portable, which was just as well, seeing as I was limited to 10w, but that taught me the importance of getting my antennas right!  Sat and passed the intermediate exam a year later in April 2015, and decided to press on to the advanced while the info was still fresh in my head, so 5 weeks later, here I am fully licenced.I quite often enjoy working 1 or 2.5w with my Yaesu FT817, especially portable, with simple resonant wire dipoles. I really like to excange QSLs, so if we've had a QSO and you'd like a card please send direct, or via the bureau, I will QSL 100% no problem, no return postage, IRC or $$ needed. Thanks again!  The views below show me at the site of the Lincoln repeaters, on top of the cathederal, the views are spectacular, even in the rain!!!
