I have only been an active Ham since early 2009, but have been licenced for a number of years. My QTH is approx. 10 miles north of Sheffield, central England.

On HF I run a Yaesu FT-1000 mkV Field for voice communication.

A Kenwood TS-850, which is set up for all my digital mode usage. (FT8, JT65, RTTY and PSK)

My FT-100 is now used for 6mtr, 2mtr and 70cms SSB activity.

I have a Uniden 2830 (President Lincoln) 10mtr monobander connected to a homemade Meon 4mtr transverter.

I also have the Yaesu FT-817 for all my portable/QRP usage plus the occasional digital modes, and a Yaesu FT-7100 dual band for local FM communication.

On the HF bands I use a 40mtr monoband 1/4 wave vertical, a Delta loop for the 20mtr band, which also works well on the higher bands with the tuner, and an Antron 99 which works OK on 17mtr, 15mtr, 12mtr and 10mtr.

The Kenwood is connected to an OCF Windom Dipole

For VHF I use a 4 element beam for 6mtr, a 4 element for 4mtr and a 9 element for 2mtr. Plus a standard white stick for local 2mtr/70cms communications.

Unfortunatly the size of my garden limits what I am able to install. Wire antennas and verticals are the best I can fit for HF usage.

My main interest is in the repair and modification of radios and test equipment, with an ever changing line up of both. I am always on the lookout for an interesting project or repair.

Amazing how much you can fit into a 1.2mtr x 2.4mtr space...

Thanks for taking the time to look me up,

Karl, M0KRL
