Licence Class: A
My main interests are the HF Bands working 160 meters, although I can be regularly heard on 80 meters, 40 meters, 30 meters (CW only) and 20 meters. DX is usually on 17 meters and 15 meters, sometimes 12 meters and when band conditions permit then 10 meters.
A majority of local work, be it at home or when on holiday visiting other areas of GB is via the VHF Bands all on FM (QRP) simplex or Repeater use on 6 meters, 4 meters and mainly 2 meters. I also use the UHF Bands on 70cm from time to time.
Other activities include Kit building, Mobile operations (Walking on the Malvern Hills or out and about in the car), Programming (computers), QRP, Grid squares, participating in contests, working DX on the lower bands, Lighthouse Operations, QSLing and Shortwave listening.
I enjoy operating on AM, Amateur satellites, CW, FM, Internet, Repeaters, SSB and VOIP.
Equipment consists of a Gateway computer, CT73 Iambic Lever Paddle Key, NISSEI DPS-300GL Power supply, ICOM SM20 Microphone, ICOM SP20 Speaker, ICOM EX-1514 Vox unit, HIMOUND HK-708 and GREAT NORTH TELEGRAPH straight keys, an ICOM IC-737 HF Transceiver and ICOM IC-E90 Handie.

My antenna arrangement is simple and straight forward consisting of an MFJ-949E tuner and a full size G5RV wire antenna with 450 Ohm ladder line.
Qualifications: C&G Radio Amateur Exam (RAE-No.7650) & Morse Code test 12wpm (Full) Class 'A' Licence certificates.
I am a member of and interested in the R.S.G.B, Amateur Radio clubs as well as other national / international organizations.
