Thank you for taking the time to check me out here.

This coming June 9th (2017) I will be 65years old also disabled and in 2002 joined Carrickfergus Amateur Radio club who got me through exams plus helped holding MI3RDR, 2I1RDR, MI1RDR.  I have to thank many hams living here in Northern Ireland who put up home antenna also programed D-Star plus DMR radios and using ircDDB remote app in mobile phone. It Brian GI0RWO who called at my home to sign a form and while he seat in car was talking with USA ham plus from that day got totally hooked also another ham named Brian kindly arranged getting me the Hytera MD785 DMR mobile radio. A few months ago a local ham put up for sale ICOM-7100 also 20foot Vertical anntenna and having saved up some money towards main land trip I could not say no to the price he offered me for both items plus glad in keeping ICOM-5100E. So pleased that the 5100E is now setup in car plus hope soon using it along with BlueStack unit and Bluedv app via second mobile phone. These past months kind hams around the world has posted their QSL cards to me which I sent mine back and a good call sign N0JQX (AL) who will call via D-Star 001C weekly plus many others. Am a RAYNET member here, Grey Point Fort also Mid Ulster Amateur Radio club where the main people incharge look after me each time attending plus fingers crossed get the 20foot Vertical ant setup at home.

Thanks go to Brian GI0RWO who on Thursday night 6/4/2017 setup my Blue Stack unit also Bluedv app and can now connect with D-Star, DMR mobile.

Now hams have gone out of their way by pointing out which radios would suit me the best and to date own ICOM-7100, ICOM-5100E, YAESU FT-817, (2) Hytera MD785s, TYT MD380 DMR hand held, YAESU FT-857D, ICOM-746 also (2) Baofeng 2m/70cm hand helds plus extra batteries.

When there is good weather another ham has offered to help setup a portable station using Moon Racker pull up pole and plug in FT-857D ATAS-120A or FT-817 via LDG-100. tuner.  Note, I will gladly post a QSL card back 100% if asked to.

If on holiday to Northern Ireland please try visiting Grey Point Fort, Fort, Helen,s Bay. BT19 1PU and looked after by Grey Point Fort Amateur Radio Society. Am member of MID ULSTER amateur radio club who meet each Tuesday night in Portadown plus check ous via Internet.

Then going to UK main land check out RAF Thorpe Camp, Tattershall, Lincolnshire. LN4 4PL.

Many Thanks and hope to catch you on bands etc.

                             73 Richard.  MI1RDR
