Thank you for taking the time to check me out here.

My thanks go to Carrickfergus Amateur radio club who in 2002 helped me get MI3RDR and within 18months passed next two exams to hold call signs 2I0RDR also MI1RDR. It was Sammy MI0XLK, John GI0USX plus John GI4YRL and others that pushed me hard.

One year I got the offer in visiting other hams around England plus Louis 2E0LRA,s parents kindly put me up in their home(Boston. Lincolinshire) and stayed just over two weeks. During this visit traveled to RAF Thorpe camp at Woodhall Spar and Harry M0HLM also his wife became close friends plus agreed main group. Iouis was only 13years when me first meet plus over past years visited them along with other clubs out side Boston.

Then back home found out amateurs where looking after Grey Point Fort saving it being closed plus spend some weeks helping out and other members fix any problems also got one 6" to fire.

Next John 2E0VGW said why not visit his group Mid Ulater Amateur Radio Club in Portadown in Turkington gated place and thanks to Davy MI0IRZ talking to Gary Turkington (son) giving club three portacabins plus one spot in large complex.

Now needing some to sign paper so I keep on driving Brian GI0RWO called at my home plus seating in car talked via D Star ham living around USA and ended up buying these radios IC-2820, IC-5100E, E92D, TYT MD-380, Hytera MD785 (2) of, Yaesu FT817, IC-746 and Dv-mega, Dv4mini also two hands free kits. Brian kindly helped me get E92D with GPS mike and programed all D-Star radios also setup Dv-Mega/Dv4mini plus John GI4BWM done DMR ones.

Please undertand being disabled its hard helping Grey Point Fort also Mid Ulster club but cannot stop me offering members transport and back up ham during Island on air plus collect extra radio items.  The other weekend members of Mid Ulster club arranged again spent from Friday to Sunday on Coney Island (Lough Neagh) plus I was back up ham if they needed extra food, radio grear ending in me sleeping Saturday night/Sunday morning.

We are also setup stations in Navan Fort out side Armagh where Charlie cooks great breakfast also Lurgan main park plus at times I seat in car. A call sign across the water (Main Land UK) was selling YAESU FT-817 plus agreed price to use with ATU and Moonracker pull up pole.

My car has D-Star/2meters/DMR setup also two High Gain 7900 ants on roof plus at home DMR/HF/2meters/D-Star but seek help replacing ord HF ant.

Note, Due to rain or health not great I have missed around three months visiting Grey Point Fort plus hope going there soon and being disabled do some thing to help keep place tidy/clean.

Radio Amateur hobby is great when people are stuck at home or problem moving around and lets you talk world wide plus making friendships. News Update, The kind help of other hams to date I own following radios ICOM-5100E, IC-7100, Hytera MD-785 (2 of), TYT-MD380 hand held, YAESU FT857D, ICOM-746 and selling IC-2820 also E92D hand held.

If on holiday to Northern Ireland please try visiting Grey Point Fort, Fort, Helen,s Bay. BT19 1PU and looked after by Grey Point Fort Amateur Radio Society. Am member of MID ULSTER amateur radio club who meet each Tuesday night in Portadown plus check ous via Internet.

Then going to UK main land check out RAF Thorpe Camp, Tattershall, Lincolnshire. LN4 4PL.

Many Thanks and hope to catch you on bands etc.

                             73 Richard.  MI1RDR
