Ham Member Lookups: 951

I retired as a Senior Chief from the Navy Reserve in December of 2015.  Ham radio is my new past time not that I have a lot of free time with 9 children.  I currently work for BNSF Railway as a switchman in the Denver yard and operate locomotives via remote control to build and switch trains.

I have enjoyed ragchewing and mostly sandbaging on the 145.145 repeater but have found a great bunch of guys to learn from and just share the ride to and from work with.  My mobile rig is a Yaesu FTM-100 with a Diamond SG7900A  I also have a Cobra 19 CB in the truck.  Eventually plan on upgrading to the Yaesu FTM-400

My equipment at the house currently consists of a Yaesu 857D, and a Yaesu 7900R, at my base station.  My antenna's include a Diamond X300A, TRAM 1480, GP-1 Comet, Solarcon A-99 with ground plane kit, and a G5RV Lite-E with a Z-11 ProII antenna tuner.  I also have a Ubiquiti airMAX M2 Bullet and TP-Link 15 db omni antenna for mesh network.  Currently I am only connected to the CARBBN SSID via a tunnel, waiting on the gaps to fill in so that I am connected via RF.

Pictures of a few of my younger crew members hanging out with dad in the ham shack working (Sandbaging) HF. Fletcher, (14 yrs old) with the Heil headphones on and grey T-shirt just got his license in April of 2017 KE0MYB and is hoping to get my first callsign as his vanity callsign. My wife and a total of 5 out of 9 of my kids are licensed.  2 of them and myself have a General license and the rest have a technician license.  The boys have fun doing the BARC Jr. Net now that it has started up again.  My 2nd oldest Daniel, KD0NCK just moved to Conneticut and is only about 45 minutes from ARRL Headquarters...I'm so jealous!

Hoping to add Wires X cabability in the next couple months as well.  I am a member of the 285TechConnect Radio Club, the Colorado Amateur Radio Team (CART) and the Colorado Amateur Radio Broadband Network (CARBBN).  Look forward to making contact with you on the air!
