Hi All, I received my Technician's license  on January 31, 2014, and just upgraded to General, November 22, 2014. Currently only using a UV-5RE Plus Baofeng handheld. Preparing shack in house requires complete renovation. All the trimmings to follow. Member Hamden County Amatuer Radio Club and Mount Tom Area Repeater Association. I recently purchased a Kenwood TS-590GS with a G5RV antenna spanning a couple of big trees out back! Seems to work good so far.
