First licensed in 1985 at age 11, I've been a ham most of my life, though there have been long periods of inactivity
due to school, military service, other hobbies taking up all my time and money, craptacular living situations, etc.

I currently live in a high rise apartment in northern Virginia about 6 miles/10km southwest of Washington DC.

I mainly work digital modes on 6-30 meters. My current HF rig is an Icom IC-7300, and my antennas are an indoor dipole made from 16 gauge zip cord, and occasionally a Buddipole dipole set up on my tenth floor balcony.

Been nerding around on computers even longer than radios; since the Commodore 64 and IBM PC XT days.

My day job is sysadmin for a small division of a large aerospace company. I also occasionally do contract IT work for various small businesses around the DC region.

QSLing: All contacts are uploaded to to LoTW and eQSL.cc, paper cards sent on request.

I also upload my logs to HRDLOG.net and Clublog.org regularly. I do not use the QRZ logbook.

I no longer use Facebook but you can follow me on Twitter here. It's mostly just auto-tweets from Club Log, but every now and then I'll post a pic of whatever project I am currently getting frustrated with and will probably abandon halfway through working on.

Thanks for looking me up!
