Hey thanks for looking up my call, I go by Ed, I was manufactured in 1964 and I have been licensed since 1992 and really enjoy the hobby. First exposure to shortwave radio was my Uncle Joe  Ciskettii in the late 60's and then in the mid 70's when my Mom bought the cool looking radio at a yard sale for me it had shortwave freqeuncies. then got side tracked for awhile with Life.  I enjoy Contesting, Dxing, VHF/UHF mountain topping lots of places for that here in Reno. I also have been enjoying the digital modes too  JT65, FT8 and RTTY seem too be my favorite so far. I am using a rigblaster advantage for the Main rig which is a Yaesu FT1000MP into a Ameritron 572 Amplifier. Antennas are a Home brew Moxon  @ 45 Feet on a Military portable tower or a Hustler 5 Band Trap Vertical @ 30 Feet on the second story of my house The Moxon Covers  40 20 17 15 10 with my Ameritron ATR-30 Tuner or maybe it's just an elevated dummy load you can tune up a light bulb if you try hard enough Hi Hi.  And the Vertical covers 10 15 20 40 and 80. A 40 meter 2 element elevated  phased array is in the works also, I have to elevate it beacuse of powerlines and phone lines, It will be on the first story of my house with a North South main lobe direction.  I  have everything but the antennas I am going to use two MFJ dual band 40/80 Verts they are a full 1/4 wave on  40 meters and the small 80 meter segment they offer will at least get me on that band. I do have some success on 80 with the five band trapped vertical, so if one works two should be better Hi Hi  not much room for wire antennas on my 60x100 foot lot, I might put a loop beverage Antenna  around the eve of my second story since my FT1000 has provisions for a RX only antenna it is noisy at my qth so I hope the beverage will help out with this.  I also have several other Yaesu radios as well. A FT-897D for the UHF/VHF Bands with a RigBlaster plug and play and a FT -857D for mobile. I have a couple of FT-101s and a FT-757gxII.  Dream Rig IS OF COURSE!!!  FT 9000DX. I also have a few Boat Anchor recievers National, Hallicrafter Heathkit some work some do not but look great in the shack. I use N3FJP logging software Thanks Scott  For My log book and also Contest logging as well,  I have three children and Two Grand Children I work at Saint Rose Of Lima Church here in Reno. We have stained glass windows of some of the Patron Saints and Maxamilian Kolbe SP3RN is one of them How Cool Is That!?   God Bless, Peace through Amatuer radio and May the Force be with you.

Good DX and 73's

Ed Wolf
