I got my Ham Radio Ticket in 2004 then put up a G5rv and had a blast working DX on all bands SSB except 30 meters and 160 meters with only 100 watts.Then had to move into apartment got a High Serria Pro1800 good for 1KW have antenna ground level on my porch. I use the Kenwood TS-2000X andYaesu FT897D Heil mikes H4 the other Heil mike has both H4 and H5.My Amplifiers are Ameratron 811H and the Ameratatron AL-800 i had a few contacts from apartment EL2AR 20 meters with amp... dont use amp too much 99 percent of my contacts with 100 watts only.CU3EJ this one 100 watts on 17 meters hope to have more contacts here in apartments i do like direct for QSL Cards because they count for worked all states I operate now Digital SSTV Pictures I get from useing Easypal program  and Hamsphere on 10.140.00 to 10.190.00 mhz  30 meter band  This is an update picture of my ham radio station at my apartment with my antennas transmitting to the east direction update 10-23-2014 also since 10 ,,12,,15 meters is open thats where i will be 9:am every morning i have had contacts dx on these bands with 100 watts having lots of fun.. with my good friends w1gns norm ,,,and robin vk7frsa... jo3kls shu,,,not real rf but lots of fun...also use dstar with my icom ic-92ad with amp 45 watts cause my antenna diamond v2000are ground level but made contact  145.130 dv mode k8dxa dstar repeater also have stacked 2 meter loop antenna inside apartment works with the 2 meter amp
