If you're looking at the picture of my car, yes, that is a Breedlove Antenna mount on the left rear quarter of the car, supporting a 108" whip/spring combination. The antenna is matched with an SGC-237 automatic tuner, which is small enough to fit in the trunk right behind the ball mount, which keeps the high-voltage antenna lead very short. With this antenna, my little VW Jetta Diesel's height is 11' 6", so I have to watch the bridges... I'm interested in antennas, HF operating, VHF and especially UHF operating; fox hunting; DMR, APRS...  heck, digital modes of all kinds! A member of GNARC (Greater Norwalk Amateur Radio Club), in Norwalk, Connecticut. Also, although I certainly don't do any singing over the radio (mind those FCC rules, now!), I am a proud member of the Coastal Chordsmen, a barbershop group here in Southwestern Connecticut.

That little white oval sticker on the bumper next to the "9-1-1"? It asks "Got 49 mpg?" --- and yes, even with all the antennas, this little diesel car really does - actually, more like 52 to 53 MPG!

Mostly mobile, including mobile HF. Follow me on APRS at: http://www.findu.com/cgi-bin/find.cgi?call=NA1SV-9
