Rules for Diploma “Attention, Kamozin is in the sky” (“Внимание, в небе Камозин”)

The days of activity of The International HAM aviators club “Fifth Ocean” devoted to the 100th anniversary of the birth of hero of II WW, pilot-fighter Pavel Mihailovich Kamozin will carry out in the period from 14 till 23 July 2017. Pavel Kamozin is twice Hero of Soviet Union and  awarded the title of "Honorary Citizen of the city of Bryansk.

Pavel Mikhailovich Kamozin was born on July 16, 1917 in the town of Bezhitsa (now a district of the city of Bryansk). In 1934, first flew from the Bezhitsa airfield ASSOVIAHIM, where later he worked as an instructor. In 1938 he was graduated from the Borisoglebska Flight School. In the first days of the war, on June 23, 1941  in an air battle he was wounded and returned to service only in October 1942. During the first air battle Kamozin immediately shot down 3 Messerschmitts, and in four months of fighting more 14, for which he was awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union. In the next 4 months Kamozin shot down another 19 fascist aircraft. December 1, 1943, when returning from aerial reconnaissance, Pavel Kamozin discovered a fascist transport aircraft, accompanied by six Messersschmitts. He attacked and shot down this plane, killing 18 German generals, who were going to Sevastopol. July 1, 1944 Pavel Kamozin was awarded the second Star of the Hero of the Soviet Union.

Kamozin  made about two hundred combat flights in which he destroyed 36 enemy aircrafts personally and 13 together with his comrades in groups. However, many historians say that  Pavel Kamozin shot down much more enemy planes.

After the end of the Great Patriotic War Kamozin served in the 101st Guards Fighter Regiment commander of the squadron. And in 1947 he was demobilized and transferred to civil aviation. Until 1983 he worked in Bryansk JSC, raising young aviators.

In 1966 Pavel Kamozin was awarded the title of "Honorary Citizen of the city of Bryansk". In Bezhitsky square a bronze bust to Pavel Kamozin is installed, his name is worn by the street, and School No 11 of the city in which is opened a museum. His name is Bezhetsky military sports club DOSAAF. In Bryansk was created a Society of Aviation Veterans named on Pavel Kamozin.

To obtain the Diploma you need to catch 100 points (1 QSO with R100PK or R100GK is mandatory):

QSO with special calls R100PK and R100GK gives 20 points

QSO with DOSAAF club station RK3YWA gives 10 points

QSO with Fifth Ocean members gives 2 points

QSO with radio amateurs from towns of Bryansk and Borisoglebska: RZ3QWW, RZ3QWE, UA3QII, RU3KO, R3KCC, R3KAI, RL3QEQ, RX3QAQ, RN3OP, RA3QOP, UB3KBE, R3KH, R3KDR gives 1 point

Fifth Ocean members from Bryansk and Borisoglebska gives 3 points (2+1)

Counts QSO established on different HF bands (1.8 – 28 MHz), 144 MHZ and different modes made from 14 July till 18 August 2017.
