At this time I am NOT selling anything!

If you see someone selling something or someone contacts you to sell something using my name and/or callsign,

Do NOT send them any money, and report THEM to the forum/classified admins!   Please be aware of the scammers out there! I will update this if I choose to sell anything!

Born and raised in the Medicine Hat Alberta area, I haven't strayed very far. My work in the heavy construction industry has taken me all over western Canada, but I've always returned "Home"! Retired from construction in 2003 and since then have been employed by the federal government as an Equipment Manager and Driver.

I have been licensed since 1993 when I tested for my basic and then upgraded to advanced qualification in 1997. I did exit the hobby for a number of years in the late 90's but got back into things in 2003 and have been enjoying it ever since. I am also a member of both Radio Amateur's of Canada (RAC) and American Radio Relay League (ARRL).

My main interest in the hobby is DX. I really enjoy mobile and portable operation . There are a few other like minded amateur's in the area that share this interest and we do like to meet up in a park on weekends for a few hours of fun.

My QRP station consists of an Elecraft KX3. I run it into a Inverted "V" dipole and a Hygain AV-640 when operating from the home shack and when I take them portable I use it with an 30' endfed or a 40-6 speaker wire doublet. I enjoy running QRP and do extremely well with this setup. I enjoy evenings on the patio with a nice fire to keep the mosquitos away! Really love CW mode and is my only mode when running portable.

My shack consists of an ICOM IC-7600 transceiver, Palstar AT1500 Tuner, and an Ameritron AL-811 Amplifier, along with the usual assortment of junk drawers, wallpaper, and assorted paraphernalia that tends to accumulate in ones shack!

My mobile setup consists of A 2002 Ford Explorer XLT along with my ICOM IC-7000 running into a Little Tarheel antenna for HF. The antenna sits on a Breedlove ball mount. Toughest looking ball mount I've ever seen.
