November 2017:

Lately I've been working hard to earn DXCC on 80m.  This is extremely difficult from my QTH directly under the auroral oval!  If you call me on 80m FT8 and I don't answer you it is almost certainly because I cannot hear you.  This is likely because when you heard me I was running high power to get through the polar auroral absorption and/or because I am listening on a receive antenna with a null to the southeast (where most of my local QRN originates).

If you hear me on 80m then feel free to give me a call but QRO works best up here.  If we do make contact on 80m I would be very interested to hear via email about your antenna and power output.

It's my pleasure to QSL via direct, bureau or LoTW.

A self-addressed envelope and 2 greenstamps ($2) or 1 valid IRC is required for direct cards to USA, 3 greenstamps ($3) or IRC for DX. Canadian stations send SASE.  Only new (light blue) IRC's are valid after January 1, 2014

$1 is not enough to send a card to the USA,  $2 is not enough to send to DX

Note new Canadian postal rates as of April 2014:
Canada $1.00 USA $1.20 DX $2.50

QSL card requests can also be made on-line (OQRS). Click here for info.

Also, US postage stamps DO NOT WORK in Canada!

My QSL Policy: I QSL all requests 100% as soon as they are received, usually within 48 hours. If you have not received a reply to a direct QSL request within 8 weeks (allows 4 weeks in the mail each way) please email me to find out if I have received it or not.

"Insurance cards" sent via the bureau will not be answered if a direct card has already been sent.

I'm active on HF (all modes, especially during major contests) and satellite. I can also be found occasionally on 6m and 2m EME.

I'm also the manager for the VE8/VY0 QSL bureau. Information on the bureau can be found here.
