Finally, something on the bucket list has been achieved. Although I have had an an interest in 'electronics, radio and stuff ' since my long-ago schooldays, actually getting a licence and going on air has been a 'one of these days' thing. However that interest led me to a 34 year career as a data and comms (and radio) tech as well as being a keen listener from dc to daylight and an avid tinkerer. I must say that my comms career was always interesting, I worked with some great people and went lots of places in my communities that many people never had the chance to see. It is a common thread in the ham world - that early interest in electricity and stuff which leads to a career of one sort or another

I am located in the city of Bathurst 300km west of Sydney, NSW. It is a great small town, close to Sydney and it is easy to travel down to the International airport and fly off to wherever we want to.  It is a great thing to be part of the global fraternity of ham radio. My wife is a proud Rotarian which is her global fraternity, and a great one it is also. Feel free to drop a line and say hello, whever you are from. I love to chat with others, whether in person or on line.

At the moment I run an Icom 7300 along with an EFHWA and a homebrew vertical..
