Thanks for looking,I have been interested in radio communication since my teenage years and in the 90's i passed my Amateur license exams with CW

My Home QTH is approx 25 km S/W of Sydney in the Sutherland Shire . Close to national parks and great beaches.

I have to two children with my XYL Lisa to spend time with so I don't always have much time to rag chew in a busy life always working!!.

You can most often find me operating in 20m Band although I do get active on all HF bands .

I am now using PC logging software at my QTH and have transfered over some past contacts from my paper logs..

But still using paper log when portable

My Station

Yaesu FT1000MP MK V with Heil HM-12

Kenwood TS-850s + D104 microphone and other various transceivers

Yaesu FL-2100Z Amp

Hy-Gain TH3-MK3 Thunderbird

6 element mono band Yagi for 10

Windom Antenna

on Tower up to 50 feet.

I do get portable from my country property from time to time using a 6 ele log antenna at 250 meters above sea level, I have a coax run to my 4wd its great fun , above picture is showing beaming S/P to EU, The log sits on a home made tower that can go to 40 feet high ,it has a great take off from the steep hill.

Well the time has come, i have taken down my 10m mono bander and TH3, which also can do with some service work ,damm cockatoos keep chewing the trap caps,

Now on air using the KLM KT34a antenna after a few months of rebuilding

In the rebuild i replaced some aluminum element sections ,replaced end caps, made a new T match and new crossover straps, rejigged the sizes to spec, refitted the pain in the backside shortening bars which where always moving on elements so i secured them with ss screws.

I have been active with calls 5WOFS and A35ZZ in my travels into the pacific Islands

Please be aware that I am not QSL manager or in any way involved with VI2MI Montague Island operations. Even though the ACMA rules state that the call is available to me at special times, others have seen fit to use it.
