G'day everyone,

I've been kicking around now for a few years and have learnt a great deal about the hobby, but by no means would I call myself an expert laugh

I am currently living in a residential cabin park and not able (allowed) to put up a serious HF antenna, or any antenna's for that matter, although I got a little bit sneaky and hid a couple of mobile antenna's on mag bases up on the tin roof at the back where management can't see them and they work fairly well for what is a serious compromise for base antenna system

Adding a little further to my sneakiness is the home brew HF dipole which I have nick named the "Fencetenna"!
looks like I should explain the "Fencetenna" concept, because I am not allow to put an antenna up at any height I had to compromise. So I am running a IC-7100 with the AH-4 wire antenna tuner, end feeding 18 meters of wire which I have run along the inside top edge of the fence around my unit to conceal it from the landlord.

It makes a few zigs and zags and 90 degree turns but it works well.

Yes it's another compromise but what can I do? But it does work rather well with some good DX contacts under it's belt.

Inside the shack my primary rig is the Icom IC-7100 coupled with the AH-4 tuner as mentioned above.

I am also running a Yaesu FT-897D with the LDG AT-897 tuner, with an OCFD which is a little deaf because of the compromised positioning of it, I am think about how to make that work better for me
