My QTH is Winsloe South, 7 km North of Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada. PEI is North East of Nova Scotia and East of New Brunswick. 46.325340N - 63.188506W Connected to New Brunswick by the Confederation Bridge.
I have been a licensed Amateur operator since Feb. 2013. I received my Advanced Oct. 2015. I am presently Chairman of the Charlottetown Amateur Radio Club, member of the Summerside Amateur Radio Club and Royal Canadian Legion member. I retiered from Bell Canada with 35 years as a technician in Dec. of 2011. I am an active equestrian and ride all year round, also a SCUBA diver with deep diving certification and I operate a satelitte TV and antenna business. Presently my station is equiped with a Kenwood TS-480SAT tranceiver, a Kenwood TS-570D, Kenwood TL 922 linear and a Heathkit SB220 Linear. On 2 meters my mobile is An Icom 880H ( DSTAR ) with a Yeasu FT-7800, as a base unit . HF antennas are Alpha Delta multiband wire dipoles, multi band vertical, 2 meter is a Sinclair 222 on a 50 ft tower, and a 3 element three band beam on a 35 foot tower. Addition experimental antenas as usual. I have a 1940's vintage 25 KW self contained, mobile genreator set powered by a 6 cylinder Coninental / Dodge motor for emergancey power.
