Hello and thanks for visiting my QRZ page. I have always loved radio since I was a child in the 1970's. I would listed to AM sports broadcasts at night when I was supposed to be sleeping. I loved hearing stations all over the USA at nights and when the bands were open. Later in the 1970's I fell into the CB radio craze and that lasted into the mid 1980's when I found HAM radio. Unfortunately I put off getting my ticket until 2014.

I have been very busy of late but when I have the time I enjoy rag chewing on the local W3EOC Dstar and the 146.985 W3GMS repeater. I enjoy working HF when the bands are open and I work Dstar on the W3EOC repeater Module B.

In my profile picture you can see my best pal Snickers. She came to us as a rescue and has literally spent half of her life by my side. When I am on the radio, she is on the radio with me. Literally on the radio.

My shack includes Kenwood TS2000 for working 2 meter FM & SSB, 70 cm repeaters and SSB and 6 meters. The Kenwood TS-480HX is used primarily for HF 180-10. This radio is connected to the Ameritron AL-811HD which can put out 800W. I have an Elecraft KX3 I use for backpacking, SOTA and POTA.

I QSL direct only. I answer every QSL and save every card I get. Direct DX with $2 and SAE US SASE welcomed but Not needed.
