I've been a ham since 1964 and continue to be active on the HF bands, about 99% CW. Over the years I've had numerous Heathkit rigs (DX60, SB102, SB401, SB220, etc.), several Kenwoods, an Elecraft K2, several Icoms (IC-775DSP, IC-756 Pro III), couple QRP rig kits,  but now I'm thoroughly enjoying an Elecraft K3/100. Built it as a kit in early 2010, added the Elecraft P3 for Christmas, 2010. Also using the Elecraft KPA500 amp and KAT500 auto-tuner. XYL got me a KX3 for Christmas 2013 - nifty little rig!

I upload ALL QSO's to LoTW - almost on a daily basis. If you need a paper card, send me yours and I'll return mine, no SASE needed.

I was born & raised in northeastern Pennsylvania then moved to southwest Florida at age 21. Spent the next 17 years in the Ft. Myers / Cape Coral area. Moved to California in 1987 and retired from EBMUD water company in Oakland in 2007.

Got married to Anilea, KF6ZNT on 9/9/99. I helped her learn CW; she got her ticket, upgraded to 13 WPM General class, and she was active on the HF CW bands for a while, but now we've got two young kids and she has a job. Not much hamming for Anilea these days. sad

Much more info on my own personal website at: http://www.w6jhb.com

See you on the bands, amigos (CW, SSB, PSK31, JT9, JT65).
