CW FOREVER: FISTS 8705:  SKCC 5058:  Started out in this 'electronic life' as a radio and television technician in the Portland area in 1959. Then worked as a field service engineer for RCA consumer products before going to teach for the local community college in 1969. Retired from the Engineering Division at Mt Hood Community College in 1998 where I taught microelectronics and worked as a part-time administrator for the past 30 years. I like to work on older radio equipment for fun, as the newer equipment is too small for these greying eyes. I collect antique test equipment and electronic books from the past and hope to restore them now that I am retired. Amateur radio has been the vehicle that was most significant in opening up my career in electronics and education. Became a general in 1953 at the age of 13 and my first commercial rig was a Heathkit AT1 and a Allied Radio Ocean Hopper super-regen receiver. My RX is typically set to 3885 for AM and 7030 for CW. So I hope if you are looking at this page after a QSO that it was an enjoyable chat and I look forward to another visit.
