Experimental Antenna Notes: I have modeled, built and tested the following fixed beam configurations:
2 element and 3 element 30M and 40M Delta Loop Arrays with relay switching to select directivity. These beams work well given the 30M loop is only 17' feet above ground and the 40M loop is only 10' above ground. However, there is a lot of interaction between elements and tuning is difficult.
2 element and 3 element 30M and 40M Inverted-V wire beams (120 degree apex angle). This design is for separate 30M and 40M elements, with 30M elements approximately 12" below 40M elements--some interaction between the sets of elements, but relatively easy to tune. This antenna generates big signals.
Note: I have removed the NW and SE masts, leaving NE and SW directions which simplifies the installation and makes tuning much easier!!
