Such a great feeling to get away from the HOA's and back into HF. I might even paint all of my wire antennas in speckled flourescent dayglow so I can check them in the middle of the night after a storm!
Recent purchase............. Rig Expert AA-54 Antenna Analyzer......A true dream machine for doing a single feed multi-band antenna. Input up to five freq ranges and get an instant SWR without touching a transmitter or even going in the house, 2AA batteries, data storage, Smith Charts, Linux, MAC or XP-Windows 8 Interface for more complex analysis. A lot of bang for the buck.
The laptop in the pic has been replaced finally with a new high end I-5 laptop with a Samsung solid state drive. Have also added a dedicated homebrew Unlocked Intel 4690K quad with turbo 3.4 - 3.9 ghz turbo mode and 16 gigs of RAM for station control, video and audio trancoding, and BluRay conversions with a 27" Samsung PLS monitor (same as IPS). We run two Home Theatre PC's in the house, one to a 6 channel Yamaha Amp in the shack and an 8 channel Yamaha to the big screen TV. We also run a Windows 2012 R2 Server to stream stored media and back up.
