I migrated to the U.S. in 1991, however I received my first license in January 1978, in Victoria Australia, call sign VK3NIR and later when I moved to South Australia, VK5NAS.

I sometimes operate my original radio, a Yaesu FT-101, which still performs flawlessly, however I recently upgraded to a Yaesu FT-1000MP.  I operate using a multiband dipole with elements for 80, 40, 20 and 10, however it will also tune up on 15 meters.  I am working on resurrecting a very original Heathkit SB-220 which I hope will be on the air soon.

I am retired and enjoy dabbling in electronics and of course, ham radio, and am a member of the Snohomish County Hams Club and the Northwest Country Cousins.

The cute little girl in the photo is one of my wonderful grandchildren.
