Been a Ham Operator since 1972.  In that time, I've pretty much been a social ham looking for QSO's, Countries and making friends.  Activity has been very limited for the past 10 years between work, kids and activities.

Lately the spark for radio has been renewed.  Current interests are VHF/UHF, Digital Modes and selected contest operations on HF.  Also have been interested in QRP Fox Hunts.  Lots of fun.

For HF operating, look for me in the contests operating primarily CW.  Expect to work the ARRL SS, ARRL 10 Mtr, Field Day and of course the greatest contest of all, the Wisconsin QSO Party.

Station equipment has changed this year.  Running a Flex 1500 and have been QRP CW most of the time, until recently with the addition of a Hardrock 50 amp to power the signal into the QRO world.  For antenna, running a 130' Doublet up about 30' or so.  Not a pristine antenna setup, but seems to work very well.

Operations are primarily CW but I will jump on SSB from time to time.  Digital modes are up and running as well.  An evening of JT is a lot of fun.

Really enjoy getting out of the shack and operating portable in the parks or where ever.  Lots of places to seek out a bench with a shade tree.  Great times.

QSL is typically limited to LOTW.  If you need a paper card, I will respond to written requests.  I'm also happy to email a PDF for you to print if you so desire.
