Just a new ham. I passed the Tech test in late January 2014. My original call sign KK6JKX was too close to some  computer commands I use at work and my mind was getting jumbled up. I decided to get a vanity call sign and this is what I'll hopefully use for a long time. WW6AOR.

I have a handheld Icom ID51A  with a Diamond SRH77CA antenna and also a Diamond NR770HA mobile antenna for my vehicle. So far this combo seems to be working fine. I'm really enjoying the D-star capabilities of my radio.

I joined the local club in Elk Grove, CA (Elk Grove/Florin ARC) and I just passed the General test in Late April 2014. Now I'm trying to figure out what the heck all this means! Now I'm looking into HF tranceivers and antenna options. I'm really looking forward to HF and DX'ing.

Just happy to be here and enjoy learning. Thanks for visiting.
