Hallo to you from Ireland!

Thank You for looking up my call and I hope to talk to you soon.

I am originally from South Africa and me and my husband is living in Ireland since 2004. Since 2012 I am legally Irish with an Irish passport but I have dual citizenship with South Africa. Everybody asks us why we moved from South Africa to Ireland and the main reason is the safety, security and employment. We love beautiful Ireland very much, although the weather drives us grazy sometimes. The Irish people are very kind, helpful and friendly and they were very good to us over the years. We do not have many friends in Ireland and all the family is in South Africa. The radio puts us in contact with so many people from all over the world and maybe we can make a few friends this way and who knows maybe we can go and visit them in the future.

My husband Pete decided in 2000 that he wants to get his license and I joined him for moral support. We are licenced since 2000 and My husband is a very regular operator. I decided if you can't beat them, I may as well join him. My OM's call sign is EI7JQ. I am still new to talking on the radio but hope to improve in time.

I am working as a Administrator in Ireland and although it is a challenge every day, it is very satisfying.

We both love travelling and visit new countries and places and we hope to visit a lot of HAMS all over the world in the future.

QSL cards are very welcome because I am a collector.
