Thanks to everyone who helped me qualify three islands on Yellowstone Lake during the first week in September 2013. Approximately 20 hams worked all 3 islands and they received the following QSL card, both physical and a PDF file, via email. 285 contacts including a dozen Canadian stations and some DX from Poland, Ireland, Greenland, Spain and Asiatic Russia made it a fun week.

--- BIOGRAPHY ---

My Dad and I built a Knight Kit Space Spanner together in 1960 and I was quickly hooked on electronics and shortwave radio and earned the call KN9EBS in Wheaton, IL at the age of 11, making me a ham for over a half century now, yikes! The next summer I attended a ham radio summer camp near Asheville, NC and along with the usual fun activities, we studied theory and practiced morse code and all took our General class test on the the last day of camp. After college I returned to my homestate of Massachusetts and obtained the call WA1SEM. I was employed at Digital Equipment Coproration and played guitar every weekend somewhere on the New England coffee house circuit until 1974 when I climbed off the corporate ladder and headed West. A year long road trip across Canada and the US led me to Jackson Hole, Wyoming, where I put down some roots of my own. The call KG7UC was obtained during a bump to Advanced class and then I changed it to K7EDA. I have earned a good living relying on my electronic and music interests. I originated the local television channel (JHTV cable 13) in 1984, produced over a thousand radio and 500 television commercials, several dozen fly fishing and tourism related videos under the banner of Mediaworks and then opened Electronic Design Associates in 1991 (Wyoming's first "Electronic Lifestyle" company) as this western resort town's second home revolution began. I have an interesting collection of acoustic guitars and play for a while every day.

In 1997 I recorded a CD of original instrumentals entitled "Put Your Only Foot Forward" and am putting together enough new music for another one soon (CD Baby ... iTunes). My wife and three sons and the beauty of Jackson Hole continue to give meaning to the journey. 73's

I enjoy making QSL Cards using my iPhone and Mac Mini, whether fixed, mobile, marine mobile or special event. The following cards are recent examples. The mobile scene with rainbow was taken in late October 2013 in Zion National Park, The Marine Mobile photo is of "Noozlefish" beached on Frank Island in Yellowstone National Park and the Jackson Hole QTH card borrowed a great photo of a time lapse exposure of the Teton Range with the Milky Way visible on the left and the Big Dipper on the right. I am a member of Wyoming ARES and RACES and active in Teton County EOC. I will always QSL a card sent direct and upload my log to eQSL on a regular basis.
