If you have heard the KB5IIM/B 10 meter beacon, (28.247) I would appreciate an email report or a QSL card. (KB5IIM{at}ARRL.NET) (I'm old fashioned- I prefer a real QSL card.) If you do decide to send a QSL card I will eventually (but definitely) return one to you. I will also happily send a confirmation QSL card in response to an e-mail beacon reception report if you request one.

The beacon is currently off the air, until I get it set up at our new shop.

10-10# 57140

I also enjoy mobile operation. It is kind of difficult to see the antennas in the picture, so please indulge me as I mention what I've installed for mobile operating.

For HF: Yaesu FT-857D with an ATAS 120 autotuning antenna (440-7 mhz)

:RigBlaster Plug & Play allows for digital modes on the HF bands. (I'm only operating PSK31 at the moment)

For VHF: for voice I have an older Kenwood 741 with 2m and 440.

For old-fashioned packet I'm running a steam-powered Kantronics KPC2 with an Alinco DR1200. It's usually on 145.010 or 144.390.

For APRS I have a TinyTrack 3, a Deluo GPS rcvr, and a GE MVS commercial radio. (Where am I right now? http://www.findu.com/cgi-bin/find.cgi?call=KB5IIM-14)

All these rigs, and the laptop computer as well, are permanently mounted in the pickup.

I've also enjoyed making some transmissions through the PCsat2 with my mobile setup.

I enjoy high altitude ballooning from time to time, and keeping up with my friends on the JW text net.

Tnx es 73,
