It's me in 2003!

Hello All!

Before I get into my Ham Radio Schmill, I want you to know that I have married a wonderful woman. Terrie Lee KINCAID Tackett Boyd on January the third, of the year of our LORD 2015!!!

She and I knew each other since 1973. We dated for three years and for some reason our paths diverged. After 36 years we re-met, on FaceBook, and picked up where we left off.

On November the 2nd at her church's Home Comming, I asked her to marry me. She very softly said, "Yes." But those in the gym did not hear her clearly and stated such. Terrie heard them and said, "YES!!!" loudly!!!

She supports my Amateur Radio hobby and my efforts to aid others. We both are CHRISTians and are going to Highland Avenue Free Will Baptist Church in Prestonsburg.

I will make my residence in Lancer, Kentucky. There I will keep my call the same and wear my West Virginia University hat! <>

GOD put Terrie and me to gether. We work so well together that it is so wonderful!!!

We both have a personal relationship with GOD and we both are second to tach other for GOD is first!!!

I, now, have a new charge from GOD. Terrie's two grand kids, Josh and Jenna. Pray that I do GOD's will in raising them. They are great kids and very smart.

Now, read on about my Amateur Radio stuff. Note, I will be changing it soon.

Also, Daniel - KF4KPL needed some help running the District 9 (Eastern Kentucky) net, so I will be helping by taking one night a week and maybe later, more.

You can check in to the net at 10 PM Eastern Time Zone via EchoLink KY4ARC-R - 321424 node.

The club's website is http://www.ky4arc.com/.

Folks, I love GOD first. Terrie Second. My and her family third. And then, Ham Radio.

I've been a HAM since 1993 and have been having fun since.

I am heavely involved in severe weather research. SKYWARN. Storm surveys. Repeater databasing and working on a project since 1995 called Coal Fields Amateur Radio Repeater Network (CFAREN). At this time, I have ideas but, due to lack of interest in Eastern Kentucky and Southern West Virginia, I may just forget it.

I hold degrees in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Communications and Electronic Countermeasures, Fluidic Dynamics, Atmospheric Dynamics, Emergency Incident Command, Emergency Communications, Mapping and Triangularizational Location, MBA Business.

Been desiging and building antennas since I was a kid. While I was working for Honeywell, I was involved in the design and testing of antennas on LF, HF, VHF, UHF, EHF and SHF.

Like Bob Heil - K9EID, George Thomas - W5JDX, Don Wilbanks - AE5DW, and Gordon West - WB6NOA, I do not use a tuner. I know if one has their antennas tuned properly, there be no need in a tuner..

I was a member and webmaster of the Black Diamond Amateur Radio Club based in Beckley, West Virginia, til I moved to Prestonsburg, Kentucky.
Their website is http://www.qsl.net/wv8bd/. Kentucky's KY4ARC ARCS Club site is http://ky4arc.com/.

Since moving to Kentucky, I was invited to help to run the "Friendship Net" nightly at 2200 hrs Eastern Time Zone.

There are at this time, 20150701, 11 repeaters linked up in the Eastern Kentucky Linked Repeater System (EKLRS). Accessable via EchoLink at KY4ARC-R or 321424 node number.

Also, lately, I was asked to help in participating an a Kentucky State wide SET, due to the ARES Floyd County EC would not be avaliable to participate. However, all did not do to well. The radios functioned very well but either the 40 meter band was dead or the antenna was not connected. So, no ops were actuated in Floyd County.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Arround 1995, I started a dream project.

At that time, the technology was not arround for that dream to be successful.

Now it is.

As of 2006, Coal Fields Amateur Radio Association began fo form.

It's website is at http://www.qsl.net/cfara/. All about CFARA is on the first two pages.

The CFARA's website will not be finished for it is dynamic.

In order for this to come to be a full entity, it needs more to be involved like individual amateur radio operators, Clubs and Associations, other existing amateur radio operations and more!

I, we, can use your help!!

How can I help, you may be asking?

Simple, contact CFARA at cfara@qsl.net or via the website http://www.qsl.net/cfara/.

Another way to help is to go to GoFundMe and donate what ever you can. It is a taxdeduction / taxable write off both individual or corporate!

I, as of November the 1st in the year of Our LORD of 2013 A. D., been active on 80, 40, 20, 15, and 10 meters.

Like my Dad says, "You are very full of ideas, boy!"

I want to place my repeater on a local hill that covers Floyd County and surounding and adjacent areas. The frequency is 444.600-(100.0) at 110 watts. With it is 146.565$ ($implex) (100.0). both will be on my AllStar Node.

There are plans for a DMR, D-Star, Wires, and Sysem Fusion repeaters on the same site. All on UHF (440 Megacycle band and will be 110 - 150 watts).

At this time, I've decided to set up the repeaters at my home in Lancer, Kentucky. Here is a link to my listing.
Click
HERE.

For more on the AllStar Link system, goto http://www.allstar.org/.

If you want to know the basic repeater setup with computer control and choosing to have AllStar on it, here is a basic PDF I created as an example. The radios depicted in this example, are Motorola's MaxTrac 300s, but any radio will do as long one can get audio to and from the radios as well as COR and PTT.

Also EchoLink can be set up on the same system!

And if you want to change your system from the example, contact me and I will do my best to help you!
