Ham Member Lookups: 711

Born in Wichita, lived in Oklahoma since 1960. Original background in radio goes back to when I worked in communications as a member of a national Guard infantry unit.  Passed the Novice and Tech tests at Green Country Hamfest in March 1997.  Passed the General test in 1998,but didn't take the required Morse code test within the year alloted.  Passed the General again in May 2012.  Didn't make my first HF contact using my own privileges until September 2015, using a borrowed radio at a ham radio demonstration / display at a Boy Scout event in Broken Arrow.

Currently the Secretary, and the Public Relations / Public Information Officer for the Tulsa Repeater Organization, tulsahamradio.org.  Served as their Activities Chair from October 2003 to March 2006.

Major interests in ham radio are storm spotting and public service.  I have also done some foxhunting, gone on balloon chases, and designed and built antennas.
