October, 2015: I am a software engineer and became interested in Amateur Radio in 1999 after I started driving 72 miles oneway to work after transferring to Lucent Technologies in Oklahoma City from Dallas. Lucent sold the factory to Celestica in 2002. In February 2003, Celestica decided to close the plant in 2003/2004! I became unemployed as of February 28, 2005 and finally found work in March 2006 at OnviSource in Enid. I started working in 2007 for Central Machine & Tool ( PTCoupling) in Enid.
I received my Technician License in June 2000 and passed my 5wpm code in November and general class in December of that same year.
I am interested in several aspects of amateur radio including working in ARES and most recently became interested in IRLP. In March 2003 I successfully activated the IRLP nodes 8710 and 3198 in Enid, OK. Refer to status.irlp.net for more information on IRLP nodes. Currently I have my IRLP nodes enhanced to be able to connect to any Echolink nodes and also any Echolink node can connect to me. This has further enabled me to contact my brother, David (WD5M)http://pws.prserv.net/mcanally/ in Rhome TX (K5MOT).
I am currently a member of the Enid ARC and ARES group. I am also the web master for the Enid Amateur Radio club site at http://www.enidarc.org
My XYL, Devon, passed her Technician test and received her call KD5UID in November 2002. My daughters, Caitlin(KE5MTB) and Meghan(KE5NQG) both received their tickets in the summer of 2007. Meghan is a Vetinarian Technician. Caitlin graduated from Drury in Springfield MO and is currently working in Albuquerue NM.
Devon and I enjoy taking the camper out several times a year where I setup portable HF and she does some fishing. We also enjoy our 2012 Jeep JK COD MW3 and go off road with it several times each year.
73, Tim, KD5KTB
