here`s my history--

novice-1970 as WN0ARH

Extra- 1985>KD0UY

March 2010>W0MSM

.July 2011>KI0I

My father ,who is W0DE was the key factor in stirring my interest in Ham Radio. My mother and wife are also licensed hams.

The Main Radio is an Icom 756 PRO3.There`s a Kenwood TS830s on the desk also. For mobile and field use I have an IC7000 or 706mk2g that i take out. Power is normally 100w ,but there`s a Kenwood TL922 for ruff net nites and some 160m contesting. I prefer to use low power and do 99% of the time.

My Antenna farm utilizes a 60ft Crankup tower with wire antennas  at this time..2m-20element beam on top. Inverted Vees at 55ft for 160,80 and 40. A short 21ft tower holds a TA33 tribander.

I use a 40-80m delta loop at 25ft for local work and my net control duties on Missouri traffic nets. The loop also works well on many other bands especially 30m. It`s a version of the German Quad that uses a 450ohm stub in the feed. sorta strange but it works.

There`s also a Hygain Hytower in the backyard that changed my mind on vertical antennas. A great antenna!

On topband I have the Vee @ 55ft and an inverted L @ 50ft vertical plus a 530' beverage for ears.... More ears than mouth hihi!

Let`s see ...oh yeah there`s a Six meter ,three element beam on a tripod on top of my two-story home for some magic-band fun.

Antennas change around alot here,it`s part of the fun and amazement that can be found in this great hobby.

If you notice a pic of me will always have a morse key of some kind in it, cw is my choice of modes these days although I`m no stranger to a mic .

Digital modes look fun and I have the gear for it but I`ll have to learn to type before doing much ragchewing or the receiveing end of the QSO will likely fall asleep !HIHI!

Thanks for looking me up and if it`s because we just made contact or are about to I enjoy sharing pics and info with you. Best 73 and gud DX

I really enjoy mobile operating , especially in State QSO Parties ! Here I am getting set to go for Kansas QSO Party 2014.

In 2014 I operated in Missouri , Kansas and Arkansas QSO Parties. I did a Multi-op run in Arkansas with  K5YAA Jerry in his KW mobile set-up. Jerry is a awesome OP and has a super mobile rig. We shared op duty and made Highest Overall Score in the contest !

Iwanted to go into Iowa for the 2014 IAQP but it falls on the same weekend as a local hamfest that is a favorite event.

Here`s K5YAA and KI0I after the ARQP 2014. This QSL Card I created with K2RFP`s QSL Maker.

Below is the card I created for the 2015 running of Missouri QSO Party. 1150 QSO`s logged with many friends from

most of the states and a lot of DX countries. The highlight had to be working OM2VL in Slovakia on 80m CW from the

mobile , 100w and a Hustler 80m resonator !! Although his Superstation did all the work HIHI. TNX Laci!
