My Echolink system node 7325 is connected to my UHF repeater on 445.525Mhz (-) pl 131.8.  The repeater services a 25 mile radius area servicing parts of Long Island, New York City, Central and Northern New Jersey depending on how the "crow flies".  It plays well for an analog system.

The Repeater is "OPEN" and functions 7 days a week with a cooling off period after mid-night daily.

The node is running on a dedicated PC with a control cable connected to port two of the arcom 210 controller.  If you hear activity, feel free to engage by throwing out your call.  All I ask is that you wait to hear the beep and 2 seconds before you key your mic and engage further in your Q S O with the other operators.

For HF, I am using a Kenwood TS-50 100watt mobile that has been modified to work all bands including 60 meters.  I recently purchased a Beringer 8500XM dynamic microphone which is connected to a UR6QW 5 band EQ.  As I have tried numerous mics, this combination seems to work more favorable for me.

My antenna of choice is a mini G5RV antenna that I purchased from Mapleleaf Studios via ebay.  The antenna is cut for 10-40 but also works well on 60 meters for its size totallying 46 feet in length.

Antenna works pretty good at a height of 25' and I have worked stations upwards of 6,000 miles away on this antenna and 100 watts.

I am exploring a design for an end-fed dipole or putting a mess of wire out in the backyard for a loop antenna to see which one would be more ideal to improve my ability to hear better with my "Hear It" DSP speaker.

My other hobbies include tweaking/cleaning PC's or volunteering as a member of the Fire Service for the past 30plus years as an Ex-Captain of Truck and Engine Companies.
