*********************** CURRENT 2017 KANSAS QSO PARTY INFORMATION ***********************

Thanks for checking in for the 2017 Kansas QSO Party! Besides 24 plaques, 15+ mobiles, and all 105 counties active both CW and SSB, we have 51 1x1 calls spelling KANSAS, SUNFLOWER, QSOPARTY and BISON (the state mammal) using the last letter of the call. New for 2017, we've added a USA Single-Op CW "filtered" plaque. You can operate mixed mode to find all the 1x1 calls, and we will rescore your log to find the op with the highest CW score. We do the same thing checking for Sunday contacts.  Work both days and all modes and still be eligible for both plaques!

This year we continue using the certificate from the past two years which displays all nine of our antique radio stamps.  You can  choose one stamp for each word spelled up to three.  We've added BISON as a new, short spelling word to make this even easier.  Our new stamp for 2017 is the 1973 Progress in Electronics Transistor stamp. We also have a drawing for the chance to win our solid maple laser-engraved made-in-Kansas plaque, the same one category winners take home. To enter the drawing, just turn in a log. The more 1x1 calls you work, the more chances you have to win. Working BONUS station KS0KS counts as a wild card in the spelling challenge. Here's the direct link to the 1x1 Checklist. Hope you can join the fun!

Our schedule and other information follows.  More information is available at the KSQP web site including pictures of the certificates and stamps. You can also see the certificate and stamps at the bottom of this page.

************************ W0BH/m 2016 KANSAS QSO PARTY INFORMATION ***********************

Note: As KSQP Coordinator, I wait until the last week to post my route so I can fill in as many "holes" in the map as possible.  Please check back then for my route and schedule.

Lorna/K0WHY and I will be mobile in the Kansas QSO Party on August 27 and Aaron/N0QD will join me on August 28.. Look for us on 15/20/40 (and 10 if it opens) on both CW and SSB. You can work us in each county on each band and mode. We'll be using the "new" Chevy Astro which most recently got me to 73 counties in the Georgia QSO Party!  I'm also putting out six NPOTA sites.  Log me as K0A for LOTW credit at those sites.

With 45 Kansas 1x1 calls, the bands will be really busy. I'll try to find a place to settle in. Look for me on 37 CW, and x37 on SSB. Once you find me, put me in memory and I'll try to return to the same frequencies whenever possible. I'll be happy to quick switch from CW to SSB at your request. When things slow down, Lorna will operate N0T/m and Aaron will operate N0Q/m.  In addition, I just found out K0P/m won't make it due to car issues, so he has allowed me to also put his call on the air from time to time!

We'll try to work both CW and SSB from most counties. Here's the county order for both days. After we work the first county on a line, I'll send BK or say "Break" and give you the next county. Here's the link to my complete schedule including a map:
