The Twin Cities DX Association was founded in 1970 by a group of highly active DXers in Minnesota. Most notably, Bill Higgins, W0YDB, Don Tyrrell, W8AD, Clyde Norton, W0ELA (SK), Fred Deziel, W0HP, along with Ted Kirst W1GL and Dick George, W0TRF, who are still members today. They established a DX club of high distinction, and one that maintains that excellence to this day.
The TCDXA encourages all comers in the "art" of DXing, in all its forms and substance. New DXers are encouraged, experienced DXers are enthused. Monthly club meetings (third Monday) are well attended whether a program is offered or not. It's about friends with a common interest coming together to discuss their mutual passion.
The club has grown over the years, and the membership now has surpassed the 125 mark. We are proud to be able to financially support numerous DXpeditions each year, as it is the club's main objective: supporting DXers and DX activities around the world.
