First licensed as W7VNM in 1952 with conditional class taken in Japan while in the army. license expired in 1972  and relicensed in 2014 as AF7IG than requested old call back . During my tour of duty in Japan I operated KA2LK on Johnson AFB 1952 1954.

1960 I set up a station in Joseph Oregon operating on 75M and 20M until 1968 when I moved from there to SanFransisco to work for United Air Lines until 1978 When I returned to Oregon. I settled in Pendleton where I gave away much of my old ham gear and did not renew my license in 1972.

2014 June 6 I took the three exams to get an extra class license and passed all three. I constructed a short wooden tower and put it on my roof with a homemade dipole or could be a tripole on 20M , a 75M dipole in a horizontal vee , and a 10M vertical 5/8 wave fron an old cb antenna. I purchased a used Yaesu FT757 and went on the air. I now have several 2M antennas as well and have added an old tube type linear amp.
