Hello to all my radio friends!

A couple of words about activities at W8TOW:

You can still find me on 160m, 75/80m, 40m & 20m AM/CW running my old tube stuff. See you at 2014 Dayton, guys.

Oh, and I am occasionally doing a repair or two, so if you have a old boat anchor that needs some TLC, get in touch.

Here are some other areas of the shack. I've got several stations and lately been active on 20m & 40m CW again! My current lineup

of stations include: Drake 2B & Johnson Ranger; Drake T4X & R4A; Hallicrafters SR-400 Cyclone; Johnson Viking 500 & GPR-90; Hallicrafters BC-610E & SX-28; WRL Globe King 400B & Hammarlund BC-1004 (SP-200), and though off line, Home Brew Taylor T-200 PP rig; HB Taylor T-40PP rig and WRL Globe Champ 175...These are all working and just no time to connect them...

GK400B & BC-1004

Globe King 400B & BC-1004 set-up for 160m AM!

Ranger & 2B with a RME69 in backup!

Drake 2B with 2BQ & Johnson Ranger for a LP AM/CW station...the RME-69

is there as a SWL Back-up!

SR-400/Drake Twins

The rig on top is a 1968-9 version of the Hallicrafters SR-400 Cyclone. It was in competition with the KWM-2, Swan 500, and Drake TR-4 in the day. There are a LOT more features with the Hallicrafters compared to the others! Runing about 225 watts output on CW, with a 400 Hz filter standard equipment & RIT, this rig plays quite well. The bugs are MacElroy bugs...On the left is a 1938B Standard and on the right is a P-500 from 1940. Below, but not forgotten is a pair of 1967 Drakes...T4X & R4A...

Here is my Pre-War & HB rig side of the shack. Receivers are the RME-69, SX-17, and HRO-5TA-1. The Transmitter is one I built in 2001-2 with a pair of Taylor T-200's in PP made in 1938 & a pair of Talyor 203A's for modulators. It weighs about 380 lbs!
