My name is Pedro and have been on Ham Radio since 1992 as CX1AAC in Montevideo, Uruguay. Call sign upgraded to Extra in 2010 and currently CX5CW.

Moved to New York in 2001 and since working for a telecomunication company.

My radio is a  ICOM IC-7800, SP34 speaker, Heil icm microphone and  SPE Expert 1K-FA amplifier.


US tower TX-472 MDP with 20ft mast and Yaesu G-1000DXA rotor and Green Heron rotor controller.

SteppIr DB18E on tower, 80m 76ft linear loaded rotable dipole on top of tower mast and a 5 element 10 meter yagi on 10ft roof top tower with a Yaesu G-800DXA rotor.

For 40/80 RX  I have 3 bi-direccional 500ft beverage antennas directed to N-S, E-W and  NE-SW

Kenwood TS-690S, HI-Z 75ohm terminated beverage antenna selector, Ameritron Remore coax switch and Yaesu G-800DXA rotor for 10m  5 element Yagi antenna.

Room behind radio desk with all antenna and radio connections. HI-Z 8 port remote beverage antenna switch, Ameritron  remote coax switch, DXE current chokes and Power Master II antenna couplers.

  Below part of my 2 reversible beverage 500ft antenna system.

 

Below base of tower completely restored by me.

I am a supporter of the DX Code of Conduct:

I will listen, and listen, and then listen again before calling.

I will only call if I can copy the DX station properly.

I will not trust the DX cluster and will be sure of the DX station's call sign before calling.

I will not interfere with the DX station nor anyone calling and will never tune up on the DX frequency or in the QSX slot.

I will wait for the DX station to end a contact before I call.

I will always send my full call sign.

I will call and then listen for a reasonable interval. I will not call continuously.

I will not transmit when the DX operator calls another call sign, not mine.

I will not transmit when the DX operator queries a call sign not like mine.

I will not transmit when the DX station requests geographic areas other than mine.

When the DX operator calls me, I will not repeat my call sign unless I think he has copied it incorrectly.

I will be thankful if and when I do make a contact.

I will respect my fellow hams and conduct myself so as to earn their respect.
