I passed the Foundation exam October 2011, completed the intermediate 20 Aug 2012 and became 2J0COQ.
Completed the full licence 30 January 2013 and am now MJ0LEL.

Interested in Digital modes, currently mainly JT65 & PSK31 at the moment, will venture into other modes over time. Also want to learn CW during 2013. Just QSO my 100th country on Digital Modes which seemed to take forever at times.

Station is fairly simple. Icom 718 and a 706 for back-up, MFJ-949E tuner and an Icom AT-180. ZLP Pro interface. Antenna are a 10/11m vertical (Sirio) and an Icom Trapped Dipole that seems to work quite well as long as it's kept high. Also have a 17m Delta Loop that I made that works great but only have that in use occasionally, also like to build my own verticals using a 12m Spiderbeam pole. have use of a field at the rear of the house which gives room for wire antennas.

Apologies for anyone awaiting a QSL card I ran out of these late 2012 and have just received a new order, all outstanding direct cards sent out May 2013 as well as bureau.

Location is the Island of Jersey which is south of the UK and close to France :Locator IN89wf. I'm luck that my house is situated within feet of the highest point on the island, I have a pretty good take off to the North as the cliffs to the sea are only a few hundred yards away.

SWL Reports always welcome (ex SWL myself).

If you have a few minutes to spare please listen to the amusing Radio Ham Song, on the link below, written by Steve MJ0ULE for the Jersey Amateur Radio Society 2012 Christmas meal.
