My name is Norman

I came over from the UK and worked VHF/UHF to start with as 5B8AV working 6m and 2m with some 4m crossband.

I am situated in a village Tremithousa just outside Paphos, I am 297m asl.

I have only got groundplane antennas at the moment as the roof is only small.

I use a BigIR Vertical with the 80m addon.

I hope I will be able to put enough groundplanes as roof is small.

I am using a CHA-250B by commet with poor results, it is 6m above the roof with no groundplanes. 6m - 80m.

I have just purchased a GP-2W 12/17m dualbander which works very well, reports give 10db or more than above antenna using only 3 elevated groundplanes.

I use an IC-7400 which I am very pleased with.

At the weekends I visit my clubstation which is solarpowered and is in the middle of a field, as joint owner I spend most weekends operating as 5B4AIF/C4I.

We have many antennas to use mostly monobanders with nice radios and automatic linears.

My favourite band is 6m and I enjoy contesting on this band.

73 all and hope to catch you in my log, Norman
